以淮钢连铸中间包为研究对象,通过建立中间包水模型,对对称四流中间包的流体流动特性进行研究.结果表明:原中间包同一侧的两流之间的流体流动特性存在很大差异,与外侧流相比,内侧流的平均停留时间小,死区体积大.四流一致性差导致中间包内钢液温度不均匀,夹杂物不能有效上浮去除,不能很好地满足高质量特钢生产的要求.加装优化后的挡墙、湍流器等中间包控流装置,四流的停留时间分布趋于一致,滞止时间、平均停留时间延长,死区体积减小.
Structure optimization of symmetric four-strand tundish
Taking the continuous casting tundish in Huaigang Special Steel Co.Ltd.,the flow characteristics of symmetrical four-strand tundish was studied through establishment of tundish water model.The results showed that there was a big difference in the flow characteristics between two flows on the same side.Compared with the outside flow,the average residence time of inner flow was shorter.The inner flow had a large dead volume.The poor consistency of four streams caused the temperature of molten steel in the tundish uneven,and inclusions could not effectively removed,which could not satisfy the production requirements of special steel.Nevertheless,adding the optimized retaining wall,turbulence promoter et al.could make residence time unanimous,prolong the average residence time and stagnation time,and reduce the dead volume.
