Application of ultra-fast cooling technology in hot rolling production at WISCO
The equipment layout,basic theory,characteristics and application of ultra-fast cooling system in No.2 Branch of Hot Rolling Mill of WISCO was introduced.And the cooling course control function was described in detail.The application results showed that the high cooling power,precise and flexible cooling course control characteristics were fully exploited in production and had good effects on improving the uniformity of strip properties,reducing alloy cost,optimizing cooling strategy and developing new products.The whole system was running stably and the accuracy of CT control was increased obviously.
