The ZG10MnNiCu steel is used for manufacturing high strength thick walled casts, and the contents of C, H and O have strict requirements.According to the composition requirements of ZG10MnNiCu steel, the production processes of smelting and trial-producing were formulated in Shanghai Electric SHMP Casting & Forging Co.,Ltd..The ZG10MnNiCu steel was produced successfully through controlling strictly the processes of charging, dephosphorizing, decarbonizing, and refining.In the finished product, the content of carbon was less than 0.10 %, the content of hydrogen less than 1.5×10-6, the content of oxygen less than 20×10-6, and the content of nitrogen less than 70×10-6, which met the composition requirement of the internal control for the steel.
