Influence of welding parameters on maximum hardness inheat-affected zone of Q460GJC steel
The maximum hardness test in the heat-affected zone can be used to evaluate the cold crack resistance of steel plates. The influence of welding process parameters on the maximum hardness in the heat affected zone of a new type high performance structural steel Q460GJC with thickness of 20 mm was studied. The results showed that the maximum hardness in the heat-affected zone of Q460GJC steel was greater than 350 HV and the cold cracking tendency was larger while selecting small line energy (9.0-10.0 kJ/cm).The maximum hardness in the heat-affected zone of Q460GJC steel was less than 350 HV and the cold cracking tendency was reduced while selecting large line energy (14.5-15.5 kJ/cm).
