Influence of forging process on transverse impact energy for 1Cr12heat-resistant steel bars
To develop the blade steels with uniform longitudinal and transverse property, the forging process was improved.Four finished products forged by different processes were chosen, and samples were taken from the edge, half radius and the center of each bar for measuring their properties. The results showed that if the δ-Ferrite content was less than 0.2 %, the sulfur content was 0.001 % and the steel was very clean, the ratio of longitudinal and transverse impact energy of 1Cr12 heat resistant steel bars could reach 1.16-1.26 after "four upsetting and four drawing" forging. The ratio of longitudinal and transverse impact energy of 1Cr12 heat resistant bars could be less than or equal to 1.06 after "bloomed by open die forging press through upsetting and drawing + finished by radial forging machine" forging.
