Development and trial-production of KNS special steel for tobacco oven
A KNS special steel for tobacco oven steel was developed in Yuxi xin-xing steel Co.,Ltd..The chemical composition,macrostructure of slab,mechanical properties,microstructure,inclusions,copper segregation on grain boundary,sulfuric acid corrosion resistance and high temperature oxidation resistance of the steel were analyzed.The results showed that the chemical composition was uniform in the steel with varieties of micro-alloy corrosion resistant elements such as Ni,Cr,Cu,Sb added.The defect level of slab macrostructure was less than 1.0 grade,quantity of macrostructure defect was little and size of macrostructure defect was small,which were helpful for the improvement of rolling performance.The tensile strength was controlled at 460-520 MPa,break elongation greater than 32 ％,ferrite grain size higher than 10.0 grade and non-metallic inclusion less than 1.0 grade.The copper contents in grain boundary and intracrystalline were basically consistent,without copper segregation on grain boundary,which avoided copper brittle crack in steel-rolling.The good resistance to sulfuric acid corrosion and high temperature oxidation were gotten with sulfuric acid corrosion resistance rate of 4.6 mm/a and 800 ℃ high temperature oxidation loss rate of 0.57％.
