Influence of lump ore on metallurgical properties of blast furnace burden
The effect of Brazil lump ore on the metallurgical properties of blast furnace burden was investigated by studying reducibility,low-temperature reduction degradation property and softening dropping property.The results showed that as the ratio of the lump ore increased from 5 % to 20 %,the low-temperature reduction degradation property of the mixed burden worsened while the reducibility and the softening dropping property improved.The reactivity index (RI) and the dropping temperature were increased by 3.86 % and 40 ℃ respectively.When the ratio of the lump ore was at 10 %,the softening dropping property was the best and RI reached the peak.At the same time,the relationship of the metallurgical properties between single ore and the mixed ore was also studied,which indicated that the reducibility and the low-temperature reduction degradation property had superposition but the softening dropping property hadn't.The RI could be used to estimate the improvement of the softening dropping property of the burden.
