Cause analysis of high carbon content of reduced iron powder and improving
During production of the reduced iron powder with vanadium titanium iron concentrate as raw material by catalytic reduction-grinding process,the high carbon content of the iron powder had become the bottleneck of iron powder quality improvement.The existence form of carbon in the iron powder was analyzed.The content of carbon in the iron powder was reduced and controlled below 0.03% by prolonging the effective roasting time,reducing the plastic deformation of iron powder particles and controlling the appropriate carbon-oxygen ratio of iron powder.
