Research on the development path of Ningbo marine carbon sink under the background of carbon peak and carbon neutrality
As the largest carbon reservoir on the Earth,the ocean has enormous carbon storage potential.The development of marine carbon sinks will contribute to promote the realization of carbon peak and carbon neutrality goal.As a major marine city,Ningbo has outstanding advantage and characteristic in the development of marine carbon sinks under the background of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.It is one of the important ways to realize the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.This paper summarizes the development of marine carbon sinks,scientifically evaluates the development conditions and existing problems of marine carbon sinks in Ningbo,and on this basis,proposes a development path for marine carbon sinks.It aims to provide reference for Ningbo to enhance its marine carbon sink capacity and realize the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
