Spatial-temporal pattern and influence mechanism of industrial land prices and manufacturing FDI:panel data analysis based on cities in Guangdong
With the methods of Thiel index,Moran index, and econometric regression models, the spatial-temporal pattern and influence mechanism of industrial land prices and manufacturing FDI in Guangdong is analyzed based on the prices and FDI data from 2008 to 2020.The results show that the correspondence between industrial land price and manufacturing FDI in Guangdong has gone through three stages:negative correlation, positive correlation of synchronous growth, and positive correlation of synchronous decline. The industrial land price of the whole province rose in general, the difference between cities changed from small to large, showing a low degree of spatial dependence. The scale of manufacturing FDI decreased, the difference between cities increased first and then decreased, showing significant positive correlation in spatial distribution and a certain degree of spatial dependence. The rise of industrial land prices has a certain negative impact on manufacturing FDI,but it is not universal.Suggestions are put forward from the two aspects of implementing diversified land supply policy and differentiated foreign investment policy.
