Comparative analysis of resource economics, environmental economics and ecological economics based on discipline classification
Discipline classification is to study scientific problems from different perspectives. In view of the confusion of concepts and the unclear distinction of research contents between resource economics, environmental economics and ecological economics, the connection and difference of the three disciplines are analyzed from the aspects of definition, research object, research content and research methods,so as to provide theoretical reference for discipline development, policy formulation and management planning of relevant departments. And it is concluded that resource economics, environmental economics and ecological economics all use economics thoughts to study fundamental principle and change rule of compound economic system, which respectively solve the contradiction between social economic development and resource scarcity, environmental self-regulation ability and ecosystem carrying capacity,so as to achieve the common goal of social sustainable development.Resource economics focuses on the study of spatio-temporal variability of natural resources, natural resource asset property rights, natural resource allocation and natural resource security. In the future,it is still necessary to strengthen the research of natural resource value accounting and the relationship between exploitation and protection of natural resources to modernize our capacity for governance.
