The Concept and Development of Phenomenological Research
This article is Heidegger's speech at a small gathering of the cultural and scientific community in Marburg on December 4,1926.The article presents Heidegger's overall review and reflection on phenomenology after the writing of"Being and Time"and his exploratory exploration of the"fundamental question"(the relationship between human beings and Being),which has special significance both in terms of time and substance.Firstly,as one of the representative figures of phenomenology,Heidegger's article can be regarded as an important document for self reflection in the phenomenological movement;Secondly,it was during the final stage of writing"Being and Time"that Heidegger became aware of a profound setback in his earlier ideas.Therefore,this article helps us to observe in a more detailed way the internal operational mechanism of Heidegger's turning of thought.The second part titled"The Initial Beginning and Development of Phenomenological Research"in the text has not been fully written,but according to the editor of the complete edition,Heidegger may have elaborated on this part with more details in his free speech based on his notes.This article has a draft nature and the original text has not been published for a long time.It was first published in 2016 through Volume 80.1 Speeches of Heidegger's Complete Works.
