The Influence of Digital Input on Service Trade Network Status Based on Social Network Analysis
As digital technologies such as the Internet,cloud computing,and blockchain around the world are applied in a deepened and broadened way,the digital economy has gradually become the main driving force for reshaping the international trade.This paper uses UIBE Global Value chain database and WIOD database to build the domestic value added trade network of 27 service industries in 42 countries from 2000 to 2014,studying on the impact of digital input on the service trade network status.The research shows that digital investment in service industry is conducive to improving the status of the industry in the service trade network.From the perspective of impact mechanism,digital investment in service industry mainly improves the status of the country in the service trade network by reducing the cost of service trade,alleviating resource mismatch,effectively replacing part of labor force and so on.Heterogeneity results are as follows:the increase of digital investment in service industry has different effects on different countries,and increasing digital investment is more conducive to improving the status of developing countries'service industry in the trade network;compared with domestic digital input,the promotion of service industry's status in trade network is more influenced by foreign digital input;digital input has a more significant effect on improving the status of consumer service industry in the service trade network.The empirical results of this paper provide reference for China to realize industrial upgrading and improve its position in service trade in the wave of digitalization.
