Brittleness at 475 ℃ of Stainless Steel and Influence Analysis
After the stainless steel is heated for a long time in the temperature range of 450 to 550℃,there will be a significant decrease in impact toughness, known as 475 ℃ brittleness. The characteristics and causes of 475 ℃ brittleness are analyzed. The 475 ℃ brittleness of several typical stainless steel mate-rials is introduced, and the influence of heat treatment temperature on their impact toughness and corrosion resistance is investigated. In addition, stainless steel parts are prone to stress corrosion cracking and fail-ure after being brittle at 475 ℃.
