Application of Quenching Strengthening Technology for Low-carbon Steel in Chain Transmission Industry
Low-carbon martensite structure is obtained after quenching of low-carbon steel,which has high strength,good plasticity and toughness matching,low cold brittle transition temperature,as well as low notch sensitivity and overload sensitivity,high fracture toughness and wear resistance.In order to obtain low-car-bon martensite,attention must be paid to the selection of low-carbon steel materials,quenching and heating temperature,holding time,cooling medium and tempering process parameters,etc.The feasibility of practi-cal application of low-carbon martensite in chain transmission parts has been determined through specific examples.
