Pure copper is currently one of the most widely used engineering materials,in some industrial applications,it is necessary to use pure copper for surface repair of parts,or to use pure copper to shape complex shaped parts.Cold spraying,as a solid-state deposition technology, can effectively avoid oxidation and segregation of sprayed materials. In addition, the good ductility and easy oxidation characteristics of pure copper make it very suitable for cold spraying technology preparation.Currently, there has been in-depth research on the preparation of pure copper deposits by cold spraying and pure copper has been devel-oped as a precursor material for cold spraying technology, which has led to the development of theoretical foundations related to cold spraying copper research.According to previous reports, the formation mecha-nism of cold spraying metal deposits is explained. The process adjustment parameters of cold spraying pure copper deposit are analyzed, and the influence of the morphology, size, oxygen content, hardness of spray particles, type and temperature of spray carrier gas on the microstructure and properties of pure copper dep-osition are emphatically discussed. The microstructure of cold spraying copper deposits, the deposition characteristics of individual sprayed particles and the interface characteristics between particles are ana-lyzed.The effects of various post-processing techniques on the microstructure and properties of cold spra-ying copper deposits are summarized, which provides reference and inspiration for studying the deposition mechanism of copper alloys and other metals and their alloys prepared by cold spraying.
