Effect of Tempering Temperature on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of 16MnCrNiMoV Steel
The CCT curve of 16MnCrNiMoV steel was measured by Gleeble 3500 thermal simulation tester. The microstructure and mechanical properties of 16MnCrNiMoV steel at different tempering temperatures were studied and analyzed. The results show that after quenching at 900℃,the microstructure of 16MnCrNiMoV steel gradually changes to tempered sorbite with the increase of tempering temperature. In the impact fracture morphology, the proportion of quasi-cleavage fracture surface becomes smaller, the number of dimbles becomes more and deeper, the fracture mechanism changes to ductile fracture, the plasticity of the material is enhanced, and the impact absorption energy at 0℃first increases and then slightly decreases. At the same time, the strength index of the material decreases gradually. When the tempering temperature is 600℃,the comprehensive mechanical properties of the material are the best, the tensile strength is up to 908 MPa,and the impact energy absorbed at 0℃is up to 224.7 J.
