Research on Production Process and Processing Performance of As-cast QT550-7 Ductile Iron
The influence of the additional amount of Cu and Mn on QT550-7 ductile iron was investigated with the condition of cupola-electric furnace duplexing smelting.The chemical composition of the as-cast QT550-7 ductile iron is(ω%):3.7-3.8C,2.4-2.6Si,≤0.03P,≤0.02S,0.5-0.6Mn,0.25-0.35Cu.The match of Cu and Mn has a significant influence on the properties of QT550-7 ductile iron.With the proportion of high content of Mn and low content of Cu,the ductile iron has low plasticity and high hardness.With the wall thickness reducing and the cooling speed fasting,the trend of hardness increase is growing with the content of Mn increasing.So it can be used to produce automobile chassis and hubs cast ductile iron parts with lower cost.With the proportion of high content of Cu and low content of Mn,the ductile iron has low hardness and high plasticity,and the process is more stable.
