Characteristics of influenza vaccine recipients within community health service centers in Jinan
Objective To understand the basic characteristics of influenza vaccine recipients in Jinan city,so as to provide reference for vaccination strategies.Methods A questionnaire survey on the vaccinated population at the community health service centers was conducted.The basic characteristics of the population were analyzed by chi-square test,and the prevention efficiency of influenza vaccine,willingness of recommending vaccination and vaccination efficacy were analyzed by multivariable logistic regression.Results A total of 1 736 valid questionnaires were obtained from the survey.The majority of vaccinated individuals were middle-aged and elderly people.Among them,94.8%believed that vaccines can effectively prevent influenza,and 87.8%would recommend influenza vaccination to surrounding people.Multivariable analysis showed that people who understood well influenza vaccine(OR=24.326,95%CI:10.128-58.426)and received vaccination in the second year(OR=8.781,95%CI:3.693-20.877)were more likely to accept preventive effect of the vaccine.Farmers(OR=4.906,95%CI:1.519-15.847)and people who have received 5 or more vaccinations(OR=7.435,95%CI:2.187-25.276)were more willingly to recommend influenza vaccines to their surroundings.Conclusions The surveyed population had a basic understanding and acceptance of the protective effect of vaccines,and had a high willingness to receive and recommend vaccination.Vaccine promotion needs to be more target-specific.
