Research progress of nuclear medicine imaging in long COVID-19 syndrome
Coronavirus disease-2019(COVID-19)has spread rapidly around the world since its outbreak in late 2019.Many relevant studies at home and abroad have reported that most of the patients who have recovered from COVID-19 have long-term complications and sequelae of multiple systems throughout the body, that is,long COVID-19 syndrome(hereinafter referred to as long COVID-19).Nuclear medicine imaging has great potential in evaluating the occurrence, development mechanism and prognosis of multi-system involvement and long-term sequelae, which can guide the treatment strategy of long COVID-19 and evaluate the treatment response. The authors review the research progress of nuclear medicine imaging in long COVID-19.By summarizing the existing basic research and clinical transformation, the authors can promote the research on the pathophysiological mechanism of long COVID-19,so as to promote the diagnosis and management of long COVID-19,and improve the quality of life of the patients with long COVID-19.
