Research progress in radiotherapy for brain metastases from non-small cell lung cancer
In the world,the incidence and mortality rates of lung cancer are the highest of malignant tumors,with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)representing the predominant pathological type.The brain is one of the most common distant metastatic sites of lung cancer,patients with brain metastases from lung cancer have a poor prognosis,and the modalities of multidisciplinary treatment are being improved.In the era of targeted therapy and immunotherapy,radiotherapy is a common local treatment modality for brain metastases and is widely used in clinical practice,the combined application of radiotherapy with targeted therapy or immunotherapy is a hot topic in clinical research at present.The authors reviewed the progress of radiotherapy for brain metastases from NSCLC,with the aim of providing a reference for the comprehensive treatment of patients in clinical practice.
