Application of digital technology in the treatment of advanced periodontitis
Advanced periodontitis damages the health of dental supporting tissues,affects masticatory function,and even leads to dentition defect or loss.The application of digital technology in the diagnosis and treatment of advanced periodontitis can improve the accuracy and efficiency of diagnosis and treatment and provide enhanced treatment effect,diagnosis,and treatment experience for patients.The commonly used digital technologies and instruments in oral clinical practice include digital periodontal electron probes,periodontal endoscopes,digital oral scanning and 3D printing,digital electronic bite recorders,electronic face arches,etc.This paper expounds the application of digital technology in the diag-nosis and treatment of advanced periodontitis:from diagnosis,treatment planning,to treatment implementation.
