Effect of Paishi Decoction on urine composition of patients with calcium oxalate urinary calculi
Objective To explore the effect of Paishi Decoction on urinary osteopontin(OPN),urinary calcium and urinary calcium oxalate in patients with calcium oxalate urinary calculi after transurethral ureteroscopy(URL).Methods A total of 80 patients with calcium oxalate urinary calculi treated in our hospital from June 2018 to June 2022 were randomly divided into control group(40 cases)and observation group(40 cases). The observation group took Paishi Decoction for 3 con-secutive courses, the control group was given the same amount of placebo(5%Paishi Decoction and edible pigment). The contents of urinary OPN,urinary calcium and urinary calcium oxalate in the two groups were measured before operation and on the 1st,7th,14th,21st and 28th day after operation. Results Compared with that before operation, the urinary OPN of patients in the observation group and the control group showed an upward trend on the 7th,14th,21st and 28th day after operation, and the urinary calcium and urinary calcium oxalate showed a downward trend, the difference was statisti-cally significant(all P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference between the indexes on the first day after operation and those before operation(all P>0.05).On the 7th,14th,21st and 28th day after operation, the urinary OPN of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the urinary calcium and urinary calcium oxalate were lower than that of the control group(all P<0.05).The application of Paishi Decoction after URL in patients with calcium oxalate urinary calculi can significantly help to increase the content of urinary OPN and reduce the content of urinur-Conclusions inary calcium and urinary calcium oxalate.
