The application of foreskin as graft material in the operation of Peyronie's disease
Objective To investigate the effect of foreskin as graft material in the operation of Peyronie's disease. Methods From January 2018 to August 2020,24 patients with peyronie's disease were treated with plaque excision and corporoplasty with foreskin graft.ⅡEF-5(international index of e-rectile function-5)questionnaire score and color duplex doppler ultrasonography(CDDU)were performed before and 1 year after operation. Results Penile curvature was obviously relieved after operation, all of them could have normal sexual life,no penile erection pain,no penile shortening was observed.TheⅡEF-5 score one year after operation was significantly higher than that before operation[(20.96± 0.27)scores vs.(19.08±0.43)scores,P<0.05].CDDU showed that there was no significant differ-ence in peak systolic velocity(PSV)and end-diastolic velocity(EDV)between patients before and after surgery(P=0.390,0.830).Conclusions Corporoplasty with foreskin as graft material is a safe,sim-ple and effective option for the treatment of Peyronie's disease. But long-term prospective, randomized studies with higher numbers of patients are warranted to further investigate this treatment method.
