The expression and significance of long non-coding RNA FTX in prostate cancer tissues
Objective To investigate the expression and significance of long non-coding RNA FTX in prostate cancer tissues. Methods A total of 102 cases of patients with prostate cancer under-went surgical treatment in our hospital were selected as the observation group from March 2016 to March 2018.In the same time,47 cases of prostate tissues from patients with benign prostatic hyper-plasia were taken as the control group. The expression of FTX in tissues was tested by real-time fluo-rescence quantitative PCR.The patients were divided into low expression group(54 cases)and high expression group(48 cases)with the mean FTX expression level of 2.61 as the cut-off value. The times of progression-free and overall and survival rate were recorded. Results The relative expression of FTX in observation group was higher than that in control group(t=45.801,P<0.001).The rela-tive expression of FTX was significantly different in TNM stage,T stage,Gleason score, lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis(all P<0.05).The progression-free survival and recurrence-free/metastasis-free rates in the low expression group were(30.57±1.19)months and 68.52%,respec-tively,which were higher than those in the high expression group(23.81±1.35)months and 31.25%(x2=14.524,P<0.001).The overall survival time and 3-year survival rate in the low expression group were(32.24±0.96)months and 72.22%,respectively,which were higher than those in the high expression group(25.29±1.26)months and 34.42%(x2=15.806,P<0.001).FTX expression was a risk factor for survival of prostate cancer patients(HR=2.155,P<0.05).Conclusions FTX is highly expressed in prostate cancer tissues and is a risk factor that affects the prognosis of patients.
