The curative effect analysis of transurethral rod electrode enucleation and resection of the pros-tate compared with transurethal plasmakinetic resection of the prostate with benign prostatic hyperplasia
Objective To investigate the efficacy of transurethral rod electrode prostatic enu-cleation(TURERP)and plasma bipolar electroprostatectomy(PKRP)in the treatment of prostate hy-perplasia.Methods The clinical data of 146 patients with prostatic hyperplasia admitted to our hospi-tal from June 2018 to June 2020 were retrospectively analyzed.Among them,73 patients underwent TURERP(TURERP group)and 73 patients underwent PKRP(PKRP group).International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS),maximum urine flow rate(Qmax),residual urine volume(PVR)and other indicators were compared between the two groups before and after surgery, and the weight of resected tissue, intraoperative blood loss, operative time and postoperative complication rate were analyzed.Re-sults The weight of prostatectomy in TURERP group was higher than that in PKRP group, while the operation time, blood loss and urinary catheter retention time were lower than those in PKRP group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in IP-SS,Qmax and PVR between the two groups(all P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions TURERP is more thor-ough,more efficient, less bleeding and faster recovery than PKRP in the treatment of patients with be-nign prostatic hyperplasia, which is very effective in preventing urinary incontinence and is suitable for promotion in grassroots medical institutions.
