Study on the expression and correlation of ADPN,HMGB1 and NGAL in patients with urinary tract infection
Objective To analyze the expression and correlation of adiponectin(ADPN),high mobility group protein B(HMGB1),neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin(NGAL)in pa-tients with urinary tract infections. Methods A total of 130 patients with urinary tract infection admit-ted to our hospital from December 2019 to December 2020 were selected as the urinary tract infection group, and 80 healthy subjects in our hospital were selected as the healthy group. The ADPN,HMGB1 and NGAL levels of the patients were detected by enzyme linked immunoassay(ELISA).The expression levels of ADPN,HMGB1 and NGAL in healthy group and urinary tract infection group were analyzed and their relationship with the severity of the disease was analyzed. Results The expression of ADPN in the urinary tract infection group was relatively lower than that in the healthy group, and the expression of ADPN,HMGB1 and NGAL increased(all P<0.05).With the aggravation of the sever-ity of urinary tract infection, the decrease of ADPN increased;the increase of HMGB1 and NGAL in-creased(all P<0.05).The logistic regression model was established with urinary tract infection as the dependent variable and ADPN,HMGB1 and NGAL as the independent variables. The results showed that ADPN,HMGB1 and NGAL were the risk factors for urinary tract infection(all P<0.05).Correlation analysis showed that ADPN was negatively correlated with HMGB1(r=-0.458,P=0.001).ADPN was negatively correlated with NGAL(r=-0.542,P=0.001).HMGB1 was positively correlated with NGAL(r=0.511,P=0.001).Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis showed that compared with the single diagnosis of ADPN,HMGB1 and NGAL,the three combined diagnoses were more valuable in diagnosing urinary tract infection(P<0.05).Conclusions The expression of ADPN is decreased in patients with urinary tract infection, and the expression of HMGB1 and NGAL is increased. The increase or decrease of ADPN,HMGB1 and NGAL is related to the severity of the patient's disease, and can be used as an index to assess the severity of the patient's disease.
