Relationship of serum lncRNA HULC and lncRNA HOTAIR levels with tumor angiogenesis and short-term prognosis after radical resection of prostate cancer
Objective To investigate the relationship of serum long noncoding RNA(ln-cRNA)HULC and lncRNA HOTAIR levels with tumor angiogenesis and short-term prognosis after rad-ical resection of prostate cancer. Methods Ninety-eight patients with prostate cancer in our hospital from May 2019 to January 2021 were enrolled as experimental group, meantime, another 97 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia in our hospital were enrolled as control group.Serum lncRNA HULC,lncRNA HOTAIR and clinical data including age, underlying disease, prostate volume, microvessel density(MVD)were compared between two groups.Serum lncRNA HULC and lncRNA HOTAIR lev-els were compared in the experimental group with different pathological characteristics.Patients in the experimental group were followed up for 1 year, and according to the follow-up results, the patients were divided into tumor progression-free group(70 cases)and progressive group(28 cases). The clinical data of the two groups were compared, and the independent risk factors influencing the short-term progression of prostate cancer patients after radical surgery were analyzed by multiple logistic re-gression.Results Serum lncRNA HULC and lncRNA HOTAIR levels were significantly higher in ex-perimental group than in control group(all P<0.05).Serum lncRNA HULC and lncRNA HOTAIR levels in patients with TNM stage Ⅱ to Ⅲ,intermediate and high differentiation, lymph node metasta-sis and high MVD were higher than those in patients with TNM stage Ⅰ,low differentiation and no lymph node metastasis and low MVD(all P<0.05).Compared with the non-progression group, the TNM stage 11 to Ⅲ,intermediate and high differentiation, lymph node metastasis, high MVD ratio and serum lncRNA HULC and lncRNA HOTAIR levels were higher in the tumor progression group(all P<0.05).TNM stage, differentiation degree, lymph node metastasis,MVD,serum lncRNA HULC and lncRNA HOTAIR were all independent risk factors for short-term progression of prostate cancer af-ter radical surgery(all P<0.05).Results The lncRNA HULC and lncRNA HOTAIR are associated with tumor angiogenesis in patients with prostate cancer and the two are also independent risk factors affecting short-term prognosis after radical surgery.
