Comparative study of robotic-assisted pyeloplasty versus laparoscopic pyeloplasty
Objective To explore the advantages of robot-assisted laparoscopic pyeloplasty in the treatment of ureteral junction obstruction. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed for the clinical data of 56 patients with ureteral junction obstruction admitted to the Department of Urology,Central Theater Command General Hospital from December 2013 to December 2020,of which 30 pa-tients underwent robotic-assisted laparoscopic pyeoplasty and 26 patients underwent laparoscopic pyelo-plasty.The clinical data of the two groups of patients were compared and analyzed. Results The operation was successfully completed in both groups, and no patients were transferred to open surgery. The intraoper-ative blood loss of the robot group was lower than that of the laparoscopic group, and the operation time, drainage tube indwelling time, postoperative hospital stay, and postoperative patient getting out of bed time were shorter than that of the laparoscopic group, and the difference was statistically significant(all P<0.05).The renal function on the affected side of the two groups was significantly improved one year after surgery, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions Compared with laparo-scopic pyeloplasty,robot-assisted laparoscopic pyeloplasty has shorter operation time, less postoperative bleeding, faster postoperative recovery, more safe and feasible, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
