Comparison of the efficacy and safety of laparoscopically assisted small incision vaginectomy and traditional open surgery in the treatment of testicular hydrocele
Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of laparoscope-assisted small inci-sion vaginectomy with traditional open surgery in the treatment of testicular hydrocele. Methods A to-tal of 110 patients with testicular hydrocele admitted to our hospital from February 2020 to February 2022 were selected as the study objects, and the patients were divided into observation group and con-trol group according to different surgical methods, with 55 cases in each group. The observation group underwent laparoscopic-assisted small-incision testicular vaginectomy, while the control group under-went traditional open surgery. The overall effective rate, pain level after operation, operative related indicators(including operation time, incision length, intraoperative blood loss, length of hospital stay)and postoperative complications of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results Com-pared with control group,in the observation group, the overall treatment efficiency was better, the intr-aoperative blood loss was less, the incision length was shorter, and the operative time was shorter(all P<0.05).The complication rate and painless ratio in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(all P<0.05).Conclusions Compared with traditional open surgery,laparoscopic-assisted small-incision testicular vaginectomy has better safety, faster recovery rate and higher patient satisfaction. It is a minimally invasive treatment method worth promoting clinically.
