Relationship between urinary tract infection and bladder spasm after TURBT in early non mus-cle invasive bladder cancer
Objective To investigate the incidence and influencing factors of urinary tract in-fection and bladder spasm after transurethral resection of bladder tumor(TURBT)for early non muscle invasive bladder cancer. Methods The clinical data of 244 patients with early-stage non-muscular in-vasive bladder cancer treated in our hospital from January 2014 to May 2021 were selected to observe the occurrence of postoperative urinary tract infection and bladder spasm, and to compare and analyze the clinical data of patients with and without urinary tract infection and bladder spasm. Results The incidence of postoperative urinary tract infection was 18.03%(44/244)and the incidence of postoper-ative bladder spasm was 31.15%(76/244).The proportion of patients with postoperative urinary tract infection with age ≥60 years, multiple tumors, diabetes, catheter blockage, catheter retention time>7 days and postoperative bladder spasm was significantly higher than that of patients without urinary tract infection(all P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age, diabetes, catheter blockage and catheter indwelling time were the influencing factors of postoperative urinary tract infec-tion(all P<0.05).The proportion of patients with postoperative bladder spasm who were ≥60 years, diabetes mellitus, operation time>1 h,catheter blockage and postoperative catheter retention time>7 days were significantly higher than those without bladder spasm(all P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age, operation time and catheter blockage were the influencing factors of postoperative bladder spasm(all P<0.05).Conclusions The incidence of urinary tract infection and bladder spasm after TURBT in early non muscle invasive bladder cancer is high, the occurrence of urinary tract infection is affected by the patient's age, urinary catheter blockage and other factors, the occurrence of bladder spasm is affected by the patient's age, operation time and other factors, but is not related with postoperative urinary tract infection.
