Relative factors analysis of isolated adrenocorticotropin deficiency caused by immune checkpoint inhibitors for advanced urinary system tumors
Objective To investigate the risk factors for isolated adrenocorticotropic hormone defi-ciency induced(IAD)by immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)in patients with advanced urinary system tumors. Methods Clinical data of 427 patients were retrospectively analyzed.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, cases that did not meet the requirements were excluded, and the subjects were divid-ed into ICIs-IAD group(14 cases)and control group(normal pituitary function,178 cases). The inci-dence of ICIs-IAD was evaluated.Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the relative factors of ICIs-IAD.Results The incidence of ICIs-IAD was 3.28%(14/427).Compared with the control group, patients in the ICIs-IAD group were younger and had higher neutrophil counts(both P<0.05).After adjus-ting for other confounding factors, multiple logistic regression analysis showed that younger age(OR=0.912,95%CI:0.845-0.976,P=0.012)and higher neutrophil count(OR=1.438,95%CI:1.045-1.977,P=0.020)were risk factors for ICIs-IAD.Conclusion Younger age and higher neutrophil count may be associated with the development of ICIs-IAD.
