Influencing factors and intervention measures of fatigue in patients with osteoarthritis
Fatigue is one of the most predominant and distressing symptoms in patients with osteoarthritis, usually unrelated to overexertion and not relieved by rest alone.Fatigue without effective intervention will cause or aggravate joint dysfunction, pain, depression, and sleep disorders in patients, further increasing disability and mortality rates. However, there is currently a lack of understanding of the symptoms of fatigue in patients with osteoarthritis in China, and insufficient managing experience. The main assessment tools for fatigue are subjective multidimensional and unidimensional scales. The main influencing factors include demographic factors,disease-related factors, psychological factors, and inflammatory factors.Primary intervention measures include exercise, psychology, sleep, diet, and Chinese medicine techniques.Studying the occurrence of osteoarthritis fatigue, assessment tools, influencing factors, and intervention measurements can provide a reference basis for clinical healthcare professionals to assess patients'fatigue symptoms early and effectively identify their influencing factors,so as to take targeted intervention measures to alleviate fatigue and improve patients'quality of life.
