Objective To investigate the status and influencing factors of occupational calling of nursing students.Methods From May 2022 to April 2023,a total of 324 nursing students who practiced in Kunming Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected.Questionnaire survey was adopted to analyze the status of occupational calling score and its risk factors.Results A total of 324 nursing students were included in the study,aged from 19 to 29 years old,with an average age of(21.32±2.45)years old.Among them,33 were males,accounting for 10.19%,and 291 were females,accounting for 89.81%.The scale evaluation results showed that the score of occupational calling was(39.57±6.38),the score of career planning was(72.67±11.35),the score of self-efficacy was(2.02±0.66).Pearson correlation analysis results showed that:Occupational calling score was positively correlated with career planning score(correlation coefficient r=0.466,P=0.003)and self-efficacy score(correlation coefficient r=0.267,P=0.024).Career planning score was positively correlated with self-efficacy score(correlation coefficient r=0.311 P=0.015).Univariate analysis showed that previous internship/work experience,educational level,career planning score and self-efficacy score were independent risk factors for occupational calling score of nursing interns(P<0.05).Conclusions The occupational calling of nursing students was in the medium level and needs to be further improved.Previous internship/work experience,education level,career planning score and self-efficacy score were the risk factors affecting the vocational calling score of nursing interns.In order to improve the occupational calling level of nursing students and promote the development of nursing career,clinical teachers should formulate reasonable intervention plans according to the influencing factors of occupational calling of nursing students.
