Efficacy of sulfasalazine suppositories combined with Yuyang decoction enema on patients with rectal ulcerative colitis and its influences on serum sTREM-1 and IL-10
Objective To investigate the efficacy of sulfasalazine suppositories combined with Yuyang decoction enema in the treatment of rectal ulcerative colitis(UC),and the influences on serum soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1(sTREM-1)and interleukin-10(IL-10).Methods A total of 144 patients with rectal UC admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to July 2022 were divided into control group and study group by random number table method,with 70 cases in each group.The control group was treated with sulfasalazine suppositories and the study group was treated with sulfasalazine suppositories combined with Yuyang decoction enema.The therapeutic effect,serum sTREM-1,IL-10,symptom score and Baron endoscopy score were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,serum sTREM-1,symptom score and Baron endoscopy score of patients in both groups were lower than before treatment,and serum IL-10 level was increased,and the improvement was more obvious in the study group(P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the control group and the study group were 2.86％and 10.00％,respectively,and there was no significant difference(P＞0.05).Conclusion Sulfasalazine suppositories combined with Yuyang decoction enema has an obvious effect in the treatment of rectal UC patients.It can obviously inhibit the expression of serum sTREM-1,improve patients'intestinal inflammatory reaction,and reduce symptom score and Baron endoscopy score.
