Overview of the correlation between glaucoma and migraine
Glaucoma is an irreversible neurodegenerative blinding eye disease that seriously jeopardizes patients'physical and mental health and quality of life.Glaucoma is often accompanied by headache and other symptoms, and the visual findings associated with migraine are similar to those of glaucoma, with vascular risk factors present in pathophysiology.Whether migraine is only a concomitant condition in patients with glaucoma or is a risk factor for glaucoma remains controversial. This article reviewed the epidemiology and pathophysiologic correlations and clinical similarities between glaucoma and migraine,in order to better elucidate the clinical correlation between glaucoma and migraine,to provide a reference for subsequent studies.
