Observation on the curative effect of compound Eucommia ulmoides decoction combined with hydroxychloroquine on rheumatoid arthritis
Objective To investigate the curative effect of compound Eucommia ulmoides decoction combined with hydroxychloroquine on rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Methods A total of 98 RA patients admitted to our hospital from July 2020 to October 2022 were randomly divided into control group(hydroxychloroquine)and observation group(hydroxychloroquine+compound Eucommia ulmoides decoction),with 49 patients in each group.The effective rate,disease activity score in 28 joints(DAS28),rheumatoid factor(RF)and C-reactive protein(CRP),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),disease activity,serum interferon regulatory factor(IRF)4 level,morning stiffness and average grip strength were compared between the two groups after treatment.Results After treatment,the total effective rate of observation group was higher than that of control group(91.84％vs 71.43％)(P＜0.05).The levels of DAS28,IRF4,RF,CRP,ESR,morning stiffness time,joint swelling number and joint tenderness number in both groups were reduced,and the reduction was more significant in observation group than that in control group(P＜0.05).The average hand grip strength of both groups was higher than before,and the observation group was higher than that in control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Compound Eucommia ulmoides decoction combined with hydroxychloroquine can effectively reduce disease activity and improve clinical symptoms in RA patients.
