A study of preschoolers'blood pressure status and related influencing factors
Objective To analyze the present situation of blood pressure of preschool children and discuss its influencing factors. Methods A total of 497 preschoolers from two kindergartens in Jiading District of Shanghai were included.Gender, age, height, weight and other information were collected, sitting blood pressure and heart rate were measured three times, and relevant indexes of urine routine were analyzed. With reference to the 2018 edition of China Hypertension Guidelines, the blood pressure level was graded according to the average value of the second and third blood pressure.SAS 9.4 software was used to analyze the data. Results A total of 497 preschool children were enrolled, with an average age of(4.5±0.8)years.26.96%of the children were overweight or obese.7.44%of the children with high normal blood pressure,7.04%of the children with grade 1 hypertension,0.4%of the children with grade 2 hypertension,1.2%of the children had a positive urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio.Orderly multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that overweight and obesity[odds ratio(OR)=3.133,95%confidence interval(CI):1.56~6.31]and increased heart rate(OR=1.09,95%CI:1.06~1.1 1)were the influening factors of hypertension in preschool children(P<0.05).Conclusion Overweight, obesity and increased heart rate are risk factors for hypertension in preschool children. It is recommended to monitor body mass index, blood pressure and heart rate of preschool children regularly every year, and conduct classified health management according to relevant conditions.
