Research progress of mechanism of iridoids on prevention and treatment of osteoporosis
Osteoporosis is a global health issue,and finding safe,effective,and low adverse reaction anti-osteoporosis drugs is a social concern.Iridoids are widely available in various plants,and have multiple pharmacological effects.Iridoids can promote osteogenic function,inhibit osteoclast function,and exert anti-osteoporosis effects through various pathways.This article summarizes the mechanism of action of iridoids against osteoporosis,providing reference for the development of new anti-osteoporosis drugs.
