Vitamin D is the only fat soluble vitamin that the human body can synthesize on its own.Active supplementation of vitamin D can improve the glucose metabolism of diabetes patients,help control blood sugar,and reduce the occurrence and development of complications.Vitamin D can prevent osteoporosis,prevent atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease,reduce the risk of tumor,improve cognitive dysfunction,and prevent diabetes retinopathy.This article describes the role of vitamin D in type 2 diabetes and its complications,so as to improve the screening of vitamin D and intervention in type 2 diabetes patients.
