Application of health promotion model combined with predictive nursing intervention in the perioperative period for patients with kidney stones
Objective This paper investigates the application effect of the health promotion model combined with predictive nursing intervention during the perioperative period for patients with kidney stones, providing evidence for formulating effec-tive perioperative nursing interventions for kidney stone patients. Methods From May 2019 to March 2023,102 patients with kidney stones who underwent flexible ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy at Wuhu Fifth People's Hospital were se-lected.They were assigned to a control group(50 cases)and an observation group(52 cases)following different nursing in-terventions.The control group received routine nursing interventions during the perioperative period, while the observation group received a health promotion model combined with predictive nursing intervention during the perioperative period. The postoperative recovery, pain levels, psychological state, quality of life, and complications before and after the intervention were compared between the two groups. Results The postoperative time to ambulation, temperature recovery time,hospi-tal stay, and first spontaneous urination time were significantly shorter in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in visual analog scale(VAS)and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)scores before intervention between the two groups(P>0.05);after the intervention,VAS and SAS scores in both groups were lower than before, with the observation group showing significantly lower scores than the control group(P<0.05).No statistically significant differences were observed in the four dimensions(physical health, physiological function, psychological state, and social function)of the WHO Quality of Life-BREF(WHOQOL-BREF)before the inter-vention between the two groups(P>0.05);after the intervention, scores in all four dimensions were higher than before, with the observation group showing significantly higher scores than the control group(P<0.05).The complication rate in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group[5.76% (3/52)vs.20.00% (10/50);x2=4.642,P=0.031].Conclusion Applying a health promotion model combined with predictive nursing intervention during the perioperative period for patients with kidney stones helps promote postoperative recovery, reduce postoperative pain, raise quality of life, and lower the risk of complications.
