Reflections on enhancing the rehabilitation service capacity of secondary hospitals from the perspective of new quality productive forces
Rehabilitation service capacity refers to the ability to lead with rehabilitation medicine,solve functional disorders at the core,improve the quality of life for individuals with injuries,illnesses,and disabilities,and maximize the recovery of physical functions,and increase their living capabilities,to assistance them to reintegrate into work and life.Secondary hos-pitals are usually district and county-level hospitals,as well as some large community health service centers,which can han-dle common and frequent diseases,as well as some more complex diseases,playing a role of connecting the upper and lower levels in the medical service system.Recently,the rehabilitation medicine departments in some secondary hospitals have taken initial shape,but the uneven distribution of medical resources has led to some secondary hospitals'rehabilitation medi-cine departments being at a disadvantage in terms of facilities,equipment,and human resources,causing an apparent lack of rehabilitation service capacity.New quality productive forces,driven by revolutionary breakthroughs in technology,have brought broad development opportunities to the field of rehabilitation medicine.The rehabilitation medicine departments of secondary hospitals can further strengthen their rehabilitation service capacity by adopting measures such as digitalization and other technologies,innovating models,and reconstructing specialized rehabilitation projects.
