Application value of safety early warning nursing process in the intra-hospital transport nursing of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation
Objective To explore the application value of the safety early warning nursing process in the intra-hospital trans-port nursing of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO)patients,to provide evidence for the formulation of clinical decision-making.Methods This study selected 130 patients who required ECMO support and were admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to February 2023 as the research participants.Seventy patients admitted before the implementation of the safety early warning nursing process(from January 2020 to December 2021)were included in the control group and received routine nursing interventions.Sixty patients admitted after the implementation of the safety early warning nursing process(from January 2022 to February 2023)were included in the observation group and received ECMO intra-hospital transport nursing under the safety early warning nursing process. The intra-hospital transport time and adverse event incidence rate of the two groups of patients were compared. After the completion of the transport, the degree of satisfaction with nursing of the patients'families in the two groups, the degree of satisfaction of ECMO transport physicians with ECMO transport nur-ses,and the professional skills of the responsible nurses[Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory-Chinese Version(CTDI-CV),The Evaluation Form of Core Nursing Competence on Critical Care Nurse]were recorded and compared. Results The intra-hospital transport time for patients in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the con-trol group[(25.01±0.57)min vs.(42.16±0.78)min;P<0.05].The adverse event incidence rate in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(11.22%vs.22.32%;P<0.05).The degree of satisfaction with nursing of the patients'families in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(98.33%vs.51.43%;P<0.05).The degree of satisfaction of ECMO transport physicians with ECMO transport nurses in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(96.67%vs.48.57%;P<0.05).The subscale and total scores of the CTDI-CV and the subscale score of the Evaluation Scale of Core Nursing Competence on Critical Care Nurse in the observation group were all significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The ap-plication of the safety early warning nursing process in the transport process of ECMO patients can reduce the risk of adverse events, enhance the professional skills of nursing staff, and raise the degree of satisfaction of physicians and patients'fami-lies with nursing staff, justifying a wider application and promotion.
