Predictive value of NRG1 and VASH-1 levels for restenosis in ASO patients after interventional therapy
Objective To explore the predictive value of serum neuregulin-1(NRG1)and vasohibin-1(VASH-1)levels for restenosis in patients with lower limb arteriosclerosis obliterans(ASO)after interventional therapy, providing a reference for clinical treatment. Methods A total of 112 ASO patients treated at Baoji Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2021 to August 2023 were enrolled.Patients were assigned to a restenosis group(n=29)and a non-restenosis group(n=83)based on whether restenosis occurred 6 months after interventional therapy.NRG1 and VASH-1 levels were compared between the two groups. The predictive value of NRG1 and VASH-1 for restenosis was assessed using the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve.Binary logistic stepwise regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of restenosis after interventional therapy in ASO patients. Results The restenosis group had significantly lower NRG1 lev-els and higher VASH-1 levels than the non-restenosis group(P<0.05).The ROC curve showed that the area under the curve(AUC)for predicting restenosis using serum NRG1 and VASH-1 was 0.903(95%CI:0.852-0.954),with a speci-ficity of 87.11%and a sensitivity of 86.05%,indicating high predictive efficacy. No significant differences were found be-tween the two groups regarding gender, age, body mass index, comorbidities, lesion location, total cholesterol levels,tri-glyceride levels,or HDL-C levels(P>0.05).However,the restenosis group had significantly higher proportions of smok-ers,total occlusion, longer vascular lesions, higher CRP levels,HbA1c levels, and LDL-C levels compared to the non-rest-enosis group(P<0.05).Binary logistic stepwise regression analysis revealed that CRP ≥18.74 mg/L,LDL-C ≥3.69 mmol/L,NRG1 ≤16.98 pg/mL,and VASH-1 ≥553.49 ng/L were independent risk factors for restenosis after interven-tional therapy in ASO patients(P<0.05).Conclusion Lower NRG1 levels and higher VASH-1 levels are closely associat-ed with restenosis after interventional therapy in ASO patients. These two indicators can serve as important predictive fac-tors for restenosis in these patients.
