Current status and intervention advances in active functional exercise in patients with first-onset stroke and hemiplegia
Stroke has become the second leading cause of death and the third leading cause of disability globally. After the on-set of stroke,70%to 80%of patients experience varying degrees of hemiplegia, severely impacting their quality of life and placing a significant burden on families and society.Currently, the level of active functional exercise among patients with first-onset stroke and hemiplegia remains low. This study reviews the concept, current status, influencing factors, and in-tervention measures related to active functional exercise in these patients. This study aims to provide a theoretical basis for healthcare professionals to strengthen the motivation of patients with first-onset stroke and hemiplegia to engage in active functional exercise and to increase the importance that family members place on this exercise, ultimately promoting limb function recovery and improving adverse functional outcomes.
