Objective To compare the efficacy of uterine artery embolization(UAE)and lauromacrogol injection for cesarean scar pregnancy(CSP)under ultrasound guidance, providing a reference for clinical treatment. Methods A total of 220 CSP patients admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Hengshui between February 2021 and February 2023 were randomly as-signed to a control group(n=110)and an observation group(n=110)using a random number table. The control group un-derwent UAE,while the observation group received lauromacrogol injection under ultrasound guidance. The overall re-sponse rate was assessed one day postoperatively.Intraoperative blood loss, hospital stay, time of operation, time to re-sumption of normal menstruation, and time to postoperative ovulation recovery were compared between the two groups.Additionally, adverse reactions or events during treatment and within one year of follow-up were recorded. Results The o-verall response rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group[95.45%(105/110)vs.89.09%(98/110);P<0.05].The observation group demonstrated shorter time to resumption of normal menstruation, and time to postoperative ovulation recovery compared to the control group(P<0.05).No significant difference was found in adverse reaction rates during treatment between the two groups(P>0.05).However,the overall adverse reaction rate within one year of follow-up in the observation group was significantly lower than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclu-sion Compared to UAE,ultrasound-guided lauromacrogol injection for CSP shows superior efficacy, effectively reducing intraoperative blood loss, shortening time of operation and hospital stay, and time to resumption of normal menstruation, and time to postoperative ovulation recovery. Its long-term efficacy is also superior.
