Latent profile analysis and influencing factors of anticipatory grief in primary caregivers of patients with intracerebral hemorrhage
Objective To explore the latent classes of anticipatory grief in primary caregivers of patients with intracerebral hemorrhage and their influencing factors, providing a basis for developing targeted psychological interventions. Methods This cross-sectional study adopted a convenience sampling method to select 200 patients with intracerebral hemorrhage and their primary caregivers who visited the Neurosurgery Department at Hanzhong Central Hospital from June 2023 to June 2024 as the study participants.General information questionnaires, anticipatory grief scales, caregiver burden scales, and coping style questionnaires were used to survey patients with intracerebral hemorrhage and their primary caregivers.Latent profile analysis was employed to classify the characteristics of anticipatory grief in caregivers, and single-factor analysis and binary regression were used to analyze influencing factors. Results There were significant latent profile differences in antici-patory grief among primary caregivers of patients with intracerebral hemorrhage, which could be allocated to a high anticipa-tory grief group(n=91)and a low anticipatory grief group(n=109).Binary regression analysis showed that caregiver age, education level, family monthly income, and caregiver burden scores were factors affecting anticipatory grief in caregivers(P<0.05).Conclusion There are two latent classes of anticipatory grief in primary caregivers of patients with intracere-bral hemorrhage.Medical staff should take targeted psychological intervention measures based on the latent characteristics of different types of caregivers to reduce the occurrence of anticipatory grief in caregivers.
