Application of family-collaborative care nursing model in the rehabilitation of children with Pierre-Robin sequence after mandibular distraction osteogenesis
Objective To explore the application of the family-collaborative care nursing model in the rehabilitation of children with Pierre-Robin sequence after mandibular distraction osteogenesis. Methods A total of 130 children who underwent mandibular distraction osteogenesis for Pierre-Robin sequence at our hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were select-ed.They were assigned to a control group(n=70)receiving conventional nursing model intervention and an observation group(n=60)receiving family-collaborative care nursing model intervention. The laboratory nutritional indicators[hemo-globin(Hb),serum total protein(TP),albumin(ALB)],incidence of malnutrition, complications during nasogastric feed-ing,and parental degree of satisfaction with nursing at the end of the intervention were compared between the two groups. Results Before intervention,no statistically significant differences were noted in serum Hb,TP,and ALB levels between the two groups of children(P>0.05).After intervention, the serum Hb,TP,and ALB levels in both groups were higher than before the intervention, and the observation group had higher levels than the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The malnutrition rate in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group[8.34%(5/60)vs.22.86%(16/70);χ2=5.032,P=0.025].The complication rate during nasogastric feeding in the ob-servation group was significantly lower than that in the control group[15.00%(9/60)vs.28.57%(20/70);χ2=3.433,P=0.064].The subscale scores(empathy, reliability, responsiveness, tangibility, and assurance)of the SERVQUAL scale in the observation group's parents were all significantly higher than those of the control group's parents(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of the family-collaborative care nursing model in the rehabilitation of children with Pierre-Robin sequence after mandibular distraction osteogenesis is effective, which is conducive to improving the nutritional status of chil-dren,reducing the risk of malnutrition and complications, and boosting parental satisfaction.
