Impact of intervention strategies under the self-transcendence thinking framework on psychological resilience and self-perceived burden in patients with ischemic stroke
Objective To investigate the impact of intervention strategies under the self-transcendence thinking framework on psychological resilience and self-perceived burden in patients with ischemic stroke, aiming to provide a reference for clinical nursing decision-making.Methods A total of 120 patients with stroke admitted to Anhui Wannan Rehabilitation Hospital from November 2023 to July 2024 were selected as the study participants and randomly assigned to a control group and an observation group, with 60 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing interventions, while the observa-tion group received intervention strategies under the self-transcendence thinking framework in addition to the control group's inter-ventions.The self-transcendence level[Chinese Self-Transcendence Scale(CSTS),Self-Transcendence Meaning of Life Scale(SMLS)],psychological resilience[Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC)],perceived burden[Self-Perceived Burden Scale(SPBS)],self-efficacy[General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES)],loneliness[Emotional and Social Loneliness In-ventory(ESLI)],and quality of life[Stroke-Specific Quality of Life Scale(SS-QOL)]were compared between the two groups before and 4 weeks after the intervention. Results Before intervention,no significant differences were noted in the CSTS scores,SMLS scores, subscale and total scores of CD-RISC and SPBS,GSES scores, subscale scores of ESLI,and SS-QOL scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention, the scores of CSTS and SMLS in both groups showed a significant increase, and the observation group had significantly higher scores than the control group(P<0.05).The subscale and total scores of CD-RISC in both groups were increased significantly, and the observation group had signifi-cantly higher scores than the control group(P<0.05).Furthermore,the subscale and total scores of SPBS in both groups demonstrated a significant decline, and the observation group had significantly lower scores than the control group(P<0.05);the scores of GSES in both groups were significantly increased, and the observation group had a significantly higher score than the control group(P<0.05).The subscale scores of ESLI in both groups were significantly decreased after inter-vention,and the observation group had significantly lower scores than the control group(P<0.05);the scores of SS-QOL in both groups showed a significant increase after intervention, and the observation group had a significantly higher score than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Intervention strategies under the self-transcendence thinking framework can improve the psychological state and quality of life of patients with stroke, strengthen the level of self-transcendence,psycho-logical resilience, and self-efficacy,and reduce self-perceived burden and loneliness, which is worth promoting.
