Impact of integrated trauma emergency model on the rescue effect and MODS incidence in patients with severe multiple injuries
Objective To explore the impact of the integrated trauma emergency model on the rescue effect and the incidence of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome(MODS)in patients with severe multiple injuries, aiming to provide a reference for the treatment of such patients. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 112 patients with se-vere multiple injuries who were rescued at the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University from August 2021 to July 2023.Patients who were treated with the conventional emergency model from August 2021 to July 2022(n=56)were as-signed to the control group, and those treated with the integrated trauma emergency model from August 2022 to July 2023(n=56)to the observation group. The rescue effect, rescue efficiency, incidence of MODS and shock, and degree of satis-faction with nursing were compared between the two groups. Results The rescue success rate and cure rate in the observa-tion group were higher than those in the control group, and the preoperative mortality rate was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).No significant difference was noted in postoperative mortality rate between the two groups(P>0.05).The pre-hospital emergency time, emergency department stay time, preoperative examination time,multi-department consultation time, and length of hospital stay in the observation group were all signifi-cantly shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of MODS and shock in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The overall satisfaction rate of nursing care among the families of patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group[94.64%(53/56)vs.80.36%(45/56);χ2=5.225,P=0.022).Conclusion The application of the integrated trauma emergency model in the rescue of patients with severe multiple injuries can effectively strengthen the rescue effect and efficiency, reduce the risk of MODS and shock, and increase degree of satisfaction with nursing.
